Term of the week

Climate Action Plan

This is Government’s annual plan that sets out how we will meet our climate commitments and reach EU and international climate targets. The Climate Action Plan 2019 sets out 183 actions and more than 600 individual measures aimed at tackling climate change. Reports are published each quarter, and they show the progress we are making.

The next Climate Action Plan will be published later in 2021, and it will take into account Ireland’s new and more ambitious climate targets.
